I've been refusing to by anything from China for a long time now. I can't remember when I first read similar information, but it made me check labels. I won't buy dogs food or toys unless made in Canada or USA. FOrtunately I'm surrounded by farmers.

Well Justi I always buy Calfornian raisins and dried fruits . Or Canadian , Australia etc.
I suspect a lot of food is sold on price and there is always a reason for it being so.
I can't help wondering what goes into pet food. At least some of us will be more careful and heed your message.

Thanks for the detailed information. I was warned about from China, I did not know about Vietnam. I do now.

Great information, we can as much of our own food as we can, peas, carrots, beats, beans, corn, and tomatoes. This year we plan to start canning the fish we catch as well, that which we don't fry, rather than keeping it in the freezer. I am growing some of my own grains this year too, for hot cereal, flour and corn meal.
