I have not heard of many children liking their natural parents if they seek them out.

My wife and I have no children, and it appears we never will. A few people have asked us if we would consider adoption, but there's just something about it that made us hesitant to raise "someone else's" child. I know there are plenty of children out there who did not ask to be in the situation they are in, and are deserving of a good home. But for some reason, we just can't get past the biology involved, because we will always feel that this child is technically not really "ours." I know that may sound selfish or unreasonable, but it's just how we fell . . .

This can be a real challenge because of emotions and motives. The well being of the child is most important.
