- Go to M is for ... I'll do that one tomorrow.
I'll do that one tomorrow.
I am a huge fan of Lee Child's Reacher character, have not seen the movie with Tom Cruise as of yet. I agree that making the decision to see to Hollywood or not would be a no brainer!

You've gotten so far ahead of me that I'll never catch up. This week hasn't been good for my head, my thinking or my reading.

I was divorced in 1978, just a few years ahead of you. Going back to school wasn't in the cards for me then but I did get my HS Certificate at age 55 in Pembroke. Then I did 1 year of psychology at York's University and quit when my wife Joyce died. Congratulations on using your education to further yourself and gain higher pay. I discovered at about 35 I was a mechanic, came to me like a gift from on high, and worked at that for years.

Here's the thing - this was a great time in my life.
Busy as I was at times - I sometimes met myself coming and going - I was stepping up, making progress, achieving goals. Sixty-hour work week? Nothin' to it. I was the go-to gal - life was interesting and fun and there was something new around every turn. That stolen five minutes at five a.m., cup of coffee while standing on the back deck and listening to the redbirds calling - that was a sweet moment of celebration.

Sometimes moments have a decisive influence on our lives, sometimes people. In my case there were several of each, one of them a prof whom I didn't even like...

Every bit as interesting as all the rest of the alphabet bios, and inspiring, too!
