Yeah, Mother Nature has been causing havoc all over the country, and some of those patterns don't seem to make sense sometimes. They need rain where there are fires, and they need some heat to dry up the wet areas caused by overflowing rivers and streams! Those fires are devastating. Glad you're at a safe distance . . .

Scary looking fire....we have them too often too close in Australia too
and fireworks does seem like best not attempted this year.

And the fire season has just started out here in the west, many dry months to go. I think one of the problems, at least up here in our forests, is that the nation forest service will not let anyone remove the dead trees so the just add to the tinder box. Did you know that in the old west days the Virgil Earp lived in Prescott?
