Re-Herniated?

You were right to be concerned about reinjuring your hernia repair!  My daughter in law has had 3 surgeries to repair hers and each time it gets infected and reinjured.  Now one side of her belly looks like she has a basketball in it and she is waiting for her 4th surgery and this time it must be performed by a plastic surgeon!  So guard that repair keep it clean for a at least 6 months or more.  It takes a full year for it to completely heal.

I thank God that you are alright and that the Dr has asked for you

yo go onto light duties. how silly of them toput you is a place where you very easily could have had to end up not working for weeks.

your supervisor should know better and good to hear that you have a note to prevent her from continuing you in that position

Your situation reminds me alot of the many times I've read about a professional athlete who tries to return too soon from some type of injury, only to aggravate it further instead of waiting that extra week to let everything heal properly. I'm glad you'll now be able to take it a little easier at work . . .

Take it slow, be patient and not let your mind put you in an unhealthy position physically mentally. This is easier to say than to do. Hang in there.
