Oh I do agree, they give and give and give and I cannot see any point in having animal family members unless it is to spoil them and spend time with them. today, we came home tired and guess who is always at the door to greet us...Priceless.

I know and we do love to spoil and cater to them don't we?!  I have a 4 pound toy poodle and she is just rotten she is so spoilt!  lol but isn't that what they are for!   They do give us so much in return too!

I would think that the most valid reason is population control. It's a crying shame how many animals are euthanzied each year . . .

when you get a rescue animal as we did with our Mr. Graysome

they automatically Neuter them before release to you. Yes you pay for it but all the proper health checks have been made and the shots for disease attended to. Your newest Family member is all ready to be loved and petted and spoilt...well that is what we have done with Mr. Graysome. He is very spoilt.LOL

Some very good reasons there. I wish more people would spay and neuter their pets.
