Re:

If that's all it takes, mariss, then more power to ya! Personally I prefer a little lemon and sugar in my tea, but then I know people who drink their coffee black . . . plain black . . . and that boggles my mind! But, to each his own, right?

Re:

You may be overanalyzing the joke there just a bit, Dr JPT, but you do have a valid point. I've always hated the fact that, since it's my brain, my mind, my thoughts and my dreams, why can't I have more control over them, increased heart-rate or no! Yeah, the brain and the heart need to get better at their collaborations . . .

Re: JimmyA

See, Sir Wiley? Something that not a lot of people would have thought about! I guess they'll think twice now before nailing the door shut, although I honestly don't know anyone who feels compelled to nail a woodshed door closed . . .

I do actually feel better about myself when I am sipping unsweetened tea.

Mimd boggling. I especially like the one with the scary dream. The brain and the heart definitely need cordination on that one. Many today are trapped due to fear without a real basis.

Re:

Would you consider that, C C T, a "battle of the minds?" It would be an interesting match, but there probably wouldn't be a clear-cut winner! Hey, I'm glad these carry you over 'til Tuesday!

Re:

That, lustor, is probably the best way to look at it! Have fun with the contemplation, but don't try to actually answer or solve any them! Besides, there are just too many other more important things to potentially lose sleep over . . .

Re: JimmyA

Thanks, Bill. And that's why these are coming from "the observation deck!"

Re:

You're quite welcome, Utah. Even if I only get a smirk or two out of people, then they're well worth it ( especially on a Monday! )

Re:

Well I think, sam, that they may be more of an appetizer than actual food! As long as they were fun . . .

Re:

So I guess, TAPS, that there's a song in there somewhere! Well, if I can't make you chuckle, it's nice to know I can make you sing . . .

Re: Silly but fun to ponder over.

Just remember, Kabu, to not ponder too deeply! No use getting a headache trying to figure some of these out, like how high is up or how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood! Some things are probably better off being left unanswered . . .

Re:

That's very cool, Annicita! I guess 1934 was a good year for moms to be born . . .

Re:

That was the general idea, FSI. Yeah, the rain finally eased up here in Jersey too! Now we just have to contend with all of the residual flooding . . .

Re: Jimmy...

I can understand that, Rumor. I believe there was a time when certain electronic equipment had on them exactly what you needed . . . and only what you needed . . . as far as knobs, dials and switches. Now, you practically have to be a NASA scientist to figure some of these things out . . .

Re: Jimmy

That may be true, Naut ( Mr. Smarty-Pants! ) but someone from England could be referred to as either British or English! No one from Holland is referred to as either Hollandese or Netherlandese . . .

Takes me to Tuesday to work these out Jimmy . Seems like two professors kept trying to get one across the other.

Jimmy...

This is a great list...hard to pick a favorite, although right now the question about so many knobs and switches on some electronic equipment is very timely around here...The combo my BIL gave us, probably because he couldn't figure out all the controls, gives me a headache just looking at it...

A good lot, LOL! I have an answer for one of 'em, though - Holland is the name only for a certain part of the Netherlands, just as England is only a part of Britain...
