Reading this reminded me of my Dad's cousin, Willy. He was an alcoholic and had a similiar relationship with his wife. Unfortunately, Willy was not able to win the battle and died some years back. A very powerful piece I found this to be.

Yes - and around here a twenty will buy another rock - which is what was probably really desired, not the lunch. I can't count the times I foolishly listened..... Excellent poem, saying it exactly how it is.
