Agh!  And here I am refusing Son's offer to take Grandson Phil and I to Worlds of Fun, our Kansas City theme park.   The only thing I would still ride on there is the Ferris Wheel.

Less puke-inducing, yes - because I got wiser, Mia, LOL.

I staunchly refused to participate!

Even my Japanese DIL's eyes were round when we got off that bus, LOL!

I really wish heights didn't bother me either, Troosha. They didn't used to.

LMAO, Jay. My words would have probably been similar to that lady!!!

The people in Japan countryside were very nice. The city people seemed just to be in a continual hurry!!

And I hate that heights does that to me, Justi. We miss some nice views.

Massage was wonderful, but even more so the hot-spring baths.

Quite a hectic trip, Grandma.

And there was no way they could talk me into getting on the 'biggest ferris wheel of the world'. I stood on the ground, watching them away up there, and wondered how they could be so foolish.

I'm sure everyone on that cable car felt the same as you, Bro!

LOL - fresh water lake, Kabu, so no danger for the big fishes!

If I had a choice between a rubber raft and a parachute, guess which I would take??

Yes, Jimmy - you and I think along the same lines.

Isn't what this trip was about. The Japanese style hotels were very, very nice though.

I did more sweating than cursing, CCT!

Weird, the height thing. I climed up to the top of trees when young,

never had a problem with it. Then one day, walking into a theatre to enjoy a play, 'Evita', where the seats were up high - my whole being froze. It was terrible. And since then, it seems to have gotten worse. Is it an age thing? Yes, I'll post some of those pictures, but I'm not adept with a camera.

Um yes, FSI. It was an experience for sure!

Pat-B - we need to talk!

I would have loved to have stopped and visited with her, Naut

But everyday, minute to minute, was so organized that it would have been impossible...without insulting my DIL.

Sounds like quite the adventure!

I hope the rest of the trip featured more fun and less puke-inducing rides!

I think the bus ride would have done me in.  Heights, on the other hand, don't bother me too much.  In fact, I find it quite peaceful.

There is a suspension bridge over the Arkansa River in Colorado, it is supposed to be the highest in the world. Cars and people cross this bridge at the same time, it is over the royal gorge and I forget how many thousand feet down to the river below it is. While crossing this bridge with my wife and kids on one of our vacations we were fallowing a lady being pushed in a wheelchair who said to her pusher, "get me to hell off of this damn thing and back to Kansas where we belong"...Glad you injoyed your trip to Japan. it is a beautiful country and I miss it and the kind people who live there.

Oh my I am daring my brain to pick up this image. I know the massage

and all the rest after you were safely situated back at your hotel was wonderful. I hate heights.

A nice leisurely cruise when the boat sinks and one finds themselves in a

rubber life raft in the middle of a shark pack slowly circling; sounds more my style than your trip to Japan. back at you.

Geez! I thought vacations were all about R & R ( rest and relaxation ), and not P, P & P ( panic, perspire and puke )! As beautiful as those views may have been, I think my stomach would probably have been doing somersaults as well! At least you got to relax a little later . . .

I think I would have been cursing and swearing for days, but then I am pretty passive,

No wonder you were ill when you came home, the reaction I would think.

Guessing you don't care for heights...

Did you take photos up at the lake?

A lot of excitement there. I would have been nervous too...It is great to read that overall it was a great experience there in Japan.

I've ridden the cable cars in the Smoky Mtns and one in Missouri

when we visited Mark Twain's home in Hannibal many years ago. Nothing like the thrill you got on your visit. What fun!

It's great that you're telling us a bit about your trip! I hope your other experiences were a bit less traumatic! And it's a pity you couldn't make contact with Kaboom - Fuji san is practically in her backyard...
