From my experience most girls have ways much like the Dad. This may be the reason she is not that interested in decorating as you. Check it out.

I have a feeling it will still work out. And perhaps your daughter is afraid that, once she gets going with decorating the house, she won't be able to stop! Before you know it, there won't be a bare spot on the walls . . .
