Cute poem, but I have a friend who has trained a wild blue jay to sit on his hand and take peanuts from him. He did this by placing the feeder just outside the window and then he sat by the window and progressively got closer and closer. It took two years of this to do the trick. I thought he could have done this much faster with a parakeet.
