Re:

its been a year but he has to put them as his last employer

It does seem contradictory that they would say he was a good worker, and yet they wouldn't rehire him. Depending on how long it's been since he worked there, he may no longer have to put them down as a reference! Yeah, they just don't make it easy today . . .

Your son is like so many here with no physical poblms

who have been looking for anything they can get and have not been able to do so in four to six years. This is by no means new to us and many parts of the country.

lustor

sounds like your daughter got the best place.  as for the son, i am sure he has more going for him than taking a job at mcdonalds.  has he thought about retraining in a job he would love to have and applying for grants and loans to get him through school, i am sure you are also willing to help.

Re:

he left because he was relocating to AZ from CA, he was there at particular place 3 years but together he has 15 years experience

Depending upon length of time on job and reason left, employers do not have to give reasons.  I would advise that he checks no for them not to contact former employer.  Also, he must be careful in writing why he left.  It is very difficult to get a job when you do not have one.  When you have one, you get many opportunities.

Good for your daughter finding what she wanted and for son

I would advise telling what he has found out. That his last employer won't recommend him for some reason /maybe confront them and ask why?
