I always bought my boys the IN jeans tops and footwear
Fortunately they had school uniforms and the IN clothes weren't all that expensive. It is not that long ago when children could live free as you describe, just one generation ago really. Now it is all so different and I agree, my grandchildren have much more than I could give their Daddy but they are poor in freedom.

I enjoyed reading about your childhood...I remember how things can be when someone did not wear the "in" clothing...A nice garden you all had there...I would have loved to have seen all of your faces when the cat came in as you all were telling ghost stories.
