Yikes

Sounds like they've put her in a tough situation! I think she made the right choice though - if she's not comfortable and confident with the added responsibility, it's wise to pass on the position!

Re: lustorlove

they dont use RN's they are expected to do the meds but she would be responsible to make sure they are done correctly

lustorlove

I can see her point though. Let RN's give out the meds they get paid the big bucks for that.

Re: i agree with your daughter, as an RN I feel horrified for

well its already part of her job, but she would be responsible to make sure that everyone handed out the correct meds

I would not want all of that responsibility either...It is a shame how they have that system. It seems to me that they set it up that way to avoid giving raises.

i agree with your daughter, as an RN I feel horrified for

untrained folks to be expected to hand out medications. I doubt that it is even lawful.

And you asked me in my post what next after the tulips. pop into a nursery and find some plants that do well in your area and buy and plant as per the istructions.

She is making a responsible decision and that should not interfere

with her regular raise. I am sorry.

Re:

its just that she loves the place and the work and hates to start a new job

If she does not want the responsibility, it is best for her not to take the job. Personally, I agree with the husband for I am a risk taker, COME WHAT MAY, I can handle it, any day.
