what a wonderful post about your days now it is Spring.
yes, we have to feed the birds and patch up our gardens after the cruel winter and please send up some of them purple bidies to sweep away the mossies....we are expecting the black fies soon. now they make everything else seem like a picnic.

i don't have bird feeders...we have vines all over the place...especially poison ivy! my goal is to eliminate them once and for all so i can enjoy the yard....

Crikey Pat your birds knock it back, I thought mine were bad enough I suppose they have to feed youngsters and one cannot blame them for using the handiest material.
I had to cut most of my grape vines down they were wine making types and I can't be bothered too go through that procedure. I am planting beans in their place. but I expect I shall have to feed them as the ground looks poor. One thing we did get the roots out.

Interesting suggestion for strawberries - I'll certainly try that. I sometimes make a strawberry-and-baby-spinach salad that is similar...And as it happens, I too am busying myself in the basement this weekend! The outside work is handled by my green-thumbed LSW...
