Nice post dear friend; well written and how refreshing to read someone who
is truly happy with their life. We can't all be top dog and like you I have no ambition to be that way in any case. I do have more centralist views on fairness for all but I am not ambitious politically so I usually don't say a lot.

Reading this reminds me of a college course I took in American Politics during my senior year of college...The teacher summed it up the way you did though he sugarcoated the differences between liberals and conservative views on equality.

Interesting concepts. I've always felt that there were three words that should probably never be applied toward any group of people: superior, inferior and equal. Apples and oranges are both fruits, but their pros and cons are vastly different. Is one person superior to another because they have more money, because they are taller, because they can run faster, because they are in perfect health? It's all subjective. To me, equality is all about opportunity. Given the right circumstances, the playing field could be level. But at the same time, I feel it must be earned, not just given freely. Someday, all peoples could be considered equal, but until that time, the battle between the haves and the have nots will continue . . .
