True. You can type in a phone number and do the same. Good or bad it can be used.

I tried it - and came to look at my place. It looks like a huge barn with an orange roof, and happily one sees all the trees, but not the 4 vehicles that my grandson has parked here (causing his grandmother to make remarks about redneck yards), so I guess the pictures are not all that recent?

How interesting. Makes me want to find him (Cheney) to see what he has to hide. I always did think I would make a good Lady PI.

And now with the little drones people can visit you as easily. Strange but all spoken of in Revelation. All this must be in place before the end. Come on Rapture!

In one way it seems very interesting, and in another way, very intrusive! But like you say, it really doesn't matter. Anyone can find anyone else these days. Believe it or not, I've never tried Google Earth! Just never had the time . . .

Unless you're Dick Cheney of course..:) (I read that he managed to keep his residences off Google Earth which some say proves he is an alien, lol...interestingly enough, the Bush family is proud to "show" their homes)

It is amazing what technology enables us to see. I remember we used Google Earth in one of my history classes to show where a battle could have potentially been held...I've used Google Earth to see different homes and residences from above.

I wish I had discovered him when he was here.
Meanwhile, getting around the world by internet is not unlike walking or driving around. Only, faster,

As they say in the south - Dayum! I had no idea!
And I do remember Dave. He's a friend on Facebook. Posts photos of his hikes through the hill country, talks about the classes he's teaching. Still writing, still making jokes. I miss seeing Dave's posts here on Blogit. But I'm really enjoying yours. :)
