Haha! I like the word Blunky too - perfect in the context - and I suspect it is more that than the thumbing of nose. It will interesting to see what happens when you meet her.

i think she is so self absorbed that she didn't get it...usually those it's directed at don't get it's them and those that think it might be them are the ones you aren't talking about!
