Re: CCT,
Like 'cruise control' you can set, and then go in the back for a nap.

Re: JimmyA,
It's a little too soon to compare safety stats between, boats, planes, trains, cars, jets and beaming.

Re: Naut,
sometimes it is about the journey, sometimes it's about being there.

Flying cars are slowly making an appearance, but I cannot wait for those that travel anywhere under the guide of a computer . Anyway have a safe trip good old Mum.

I kinda like the idea of saying "beam me up, Scotty" and being
safely back on the Enterprise. Or in Olympia. Hope it all goes well. :)

As quick and convenient as that "beaming" might be, I still wouldn't trust it! Never mind ending up in the room of someone else's house! I'd be more worried about which part of me ended up where! As an old-time "Trekky," I'm quite familiar with the concept of beaming, the scrambling of our molecules to reform and reappaear somewhere else. No thanks! Like Naut, trains, planes and automobiles may still be somewhat dangerous, but with them there's a better chance of you arriving at your destination in one piece . . .

I certainly hope you have a fun trip! As for 'teleportation' or that kinda stuff, I would hate it! I enjoy travelling by car, train or ship, less so by plane, admittedly, 'cause it's getting too cramped and uncomfortable! And of course there's always that ghastly airport scene, thanks to our 'friends', the 7th century Barbarians...
