Re: Naut

Oscar Wild always wore an old English Carnation Malmaison .Dates from 1857 I have a few stocks, but they are very temperamental. My brother swallowed his gold crown and retrieving it was amusing. Pity Kindles could not expand to a book size my big thumbs struggle to flick the pages over.

Re: Pat

No Pat and some patients seem to delight in sneezing as though to show they are very ill indeed. One think we have jell to nobble germs on the hands. What about the dentist though. better not think of that.

Yes adnohr you don't get much scent when you buy from a florist.

Re: CC

Some do Justi, but sometimes they are selected  just for colour these days. I am searching for scented ones.

I love the pink. Did not know the colored ones did not smell anymore. I, thankfully, still have roses that have wonderful scent. Oh don't you just love the waiting room. What are brown cards? Hope you are well now. Be blessed.

A flower that actually has a scent? Rare enough now. Beautiful too, i wouldn't want to cut it either. Will be back to read the poem.

I wish you and your mouth all of the best...You capture the essence of the waiting room well in this poem.

Recently I've come to the conclusion it's not a good idea to look at

any of the magazines in the doctor's waiting room because it's already been looked at and dotted with so many other potential virus infections. It's also good to take Purell along to the library or bookstore when handling used books. I do love the pink, and its sensual fragrance. It's good for us to be a bit "disturbed" by such things now and then.

Yeah, whatever happened to the 'Smellies' they promised us way back when? I could do with a bit of disturbing sensual scent right now...And hang on to your crown if it should come off, especially if it's gold! I lost one once, right in the middle of running a Marathon, though I'm not sure there was a causal connection...

And you've nicely captured the waiting room atmosphere! I always try and stay away as far as possible from all the sickies, and bury my nose in my Kindle, metaphorically speeking, 'cause you can't really bury your nose there as you can in a book, but then the Kindle is easier to schlepp around...
