I can see the challenge in the puzzle you discribe - familiarity with the constellations would help, of course, even if they have changed abit since then. I remember jigsaw puzzles dimly from my childhood, but with my childhood I left them behind as well...

my exes parents are big on puzzles....they work them almost everyday....a little at a time...i dont mind them too much...but when all the pieces look the same cuz there isn't much color variation i tend to avoid those

Wow, I actually haven't worked on a jigsaw puzzle in years! My oldest brother and his wife used to be fanatics about them, and loved a challenge! Their three hardest? One was a puzzle of a maze, all white with a series of thin, black parallel lines! The second was a photo of a mixture of every candy bar under the sun! The third was just solid red! Talk about a ridiculous challenge! Good luck with yours. You'll get it done eventually . . .

I am a big fan of jigsaw puzzles! And, my first real puzzle was a Springbok, too! I know what you mean about looking for a tiny mark and never seeing then suddenly there it is! I have never done a puzzle made of wood so you have quite the gem there! sam
