Who knows what goes through the minds of these various government officials when they see their own people suffering, but do little or nothing about it. As far as world help is concerned, a part of me hopes that someone other than the U.S. steps in to offer assistance for a change! Everyone around the world seems to love to belittle and put down our country, until their backs are suddenly against the wall and they're in desperate need of help. And then it's "Please, O great America, send us food, medicine and armies to fight for us! We'll never pay you back or do anything to make amends, and will probably go back to hating you when all is said and done, but in the meantime, have your slowly dying middle class send us their hard-earned tax dollars that they need just as much!" As you can plainly see, although I try to be sympathetic, I'm simply tired of the rest of the world taking advantage of us and depending far too much on our interference and involvement! Let Germany, Japan, France, England, Spain, Brazil, Russia, Canada, Italy, China, Switzerland, etc., etc., etc. pitch in and help for once . . .
