Sounds very interesting! And I like your observation that, "Newer actors tend to 'power through' their lines, rather than give them the thoughtful pauses and broken timing that is typical of natural conversation". You're absolutely correct, although I find that older actors often do the same thing; it's something quite noticable in old movies...

It's interesting to watch them act and produce as they start out, then the progress. I talk to strangers all the time.

I wish I could get out a little more and see certain plays too. And as for starting conversations with complete strangers, simply not my forte at all . . .

We wont' be going this year, but we can always summon up Plummer's THE TEMPEST through Netflix, and maybe some others, too. We have Kenneth Branaugh's HENRY V also, on dvd--one of my most favorite Shakespeares!
