Telling him to move on to the "next sucker" was probably as polite of a response as you could have mustered! Yes, they are all scams, they are all garbage, and they are all annoying, and I'm sorry to say that I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for anyone who actually falls for any of this nonsense!
