Re: Pat,
I suppose he could live on cold cereal and jello--If I make the jello.
Here, I'd rather have had rain and warm, but I can see how snow might be better for your part of the world, to melt slowly and maybe saturate less suddenly the already-saturated ground.

Re: Adnohr,
My son laughed when I told him about that. Seems Roomer is known by his friends for... The Dramatic Sigh.
"I had a chicken sandwich today. *sigh* "
"A really cute girl said hi to me today. *sigh* "
I have to figure out what makes him laugh.
*sigh*

Re: CCT,
I am relieved to know that he does know how to scramble eggs. He has, in fact, lived more with father than mother, who are divorced. I did know a mom once, who was bragging about having taught her son that very day to use a can opener. He was 12.

I think he needs to learn how to shop, your little roomer, before he
does something scary to your electronic cookers or explodes something that leaves permanent stains on the ceiling.
No snow on the railings here - in fact it's 60 degrees here this a.m., but that snow from Kansas-Nebraska-Iowa is meandering toward the St. Louis area, will probably be rain by the time it arrives, and we're supposed to get 4" of that. Just what the flooded rivers and basements need. Makes me nostalgic for last year's drought.

Yeah, your *sigh* is right! What's the world coming to when a 20-year old doesn't know what a broiler is? I use my microwave oven for making popcorn or for heating the milk for my latte...
