Very interesting pictures of the mountain in its different moods! And I don't think I've ever seen that kind of fern before...And speaking of ferns - it's going to be fiddlehead season again soon...

Once again, it seems as though Mother Nature is putting on quite a show for you each morning! And I must admit, I know absolutely nothing about ferns . . .

Re: CCT,

Good idea, the plastic hat for it.  When I am away again for a couple of weeks in May, I will do that.  In the meantime, I will mist it often. And I made the vapor tray--that's what it's called!--and will fill it with warm water regularly.  Mostly I also like plants that already like this environment, but this particular plant reminds me of Singapore in a most pleasant way! I spent a month there with my daughter, when she lived there, and the botanic gardens there are astonishing!

It will be interesting to see if your fern can be made to feel at home , I would probably devise some kind of plastic cover to create the humidity. Although to be honest

I like things that like the environment on ones doorstep. Of course we all cannot have a wonderful view to soothe our senses.

Re: Pat,

Makes me happy that my mountain makes you happy! And I also admired Rainier when it's 'out' and the Olympics, often limned in sunset, from my daughter's house when she lived in Kirkland.

For a few years I lived in the Cascade foothills

and the sun came up behind the mountains, which were fringed with Douglas Fir trees and silhouetted against the dawn on clear days. From my apartment in Seattle I could sometimes see Mt. Rainier, and on the bus ride in to work as the sun rose, the Olympics across Elliott Bay were peach ice cream... Thank you for sharing your mountain - it makes me very happy today. The fern's nice, too. :)
