I do believe we all see what we want to see in things  and people we love... if we fall for someone or something, whether its a lover or a diet :-),  usually we idealize them, magnifying their virtues and rationalizing their defects... we do that all the time with the most  important and the most insignificant things so is it strange or unbelievable that simple, honest people that have been born into Islam choose to believe only the good about the religion they have inherited from their parents?...I know many Muslims that qualify as being "willingly and blindly stupid"  (an affectionate term I use only with friends)    I know that at some level the more educated must realize though that there is something skew with the pack of lies they have been handed ,  but I guess they tend to do then what we all have done at one time or another when confronted with the ugly truth about something we hold dear... : rationalize whatever it is and so they do just that, over and over,  until the elephant in their mosque is so huge they have to admit if they are honest with themselves that they have been handed a putrid fruit instead of the paradise delight they had been told they had been  given .   Unfortunately... as we all know, hat does not happen often or easily because to admit that is to renounce all they have been taught all their lives, and so most of them go on believing they are the ones in the right.

Its hard to try to understand these people... specially when we have so much resentment towards them.  Its hard even to listen to them sometimes when they sadly try to make sense of what has none.  Its so much easier to hate them.  I moistly feel sorry for them for they have truly been dammed .

Be well Naut.  I have missed you too :-)  xoxoxo

Naut

It makes no difference whether they believe it or not this is a simple opponent of all that is good and scred. It is the religion of opposition to "God" the one God and Jesus. The full force of it is to steal, kill and destroy.
