I believe it will too, mariss. If nothing else, we are resilient!

I can see him breaking some cement blocks with a karate chop!! Great parallel about the ants.  In times with more terror, this will be a good concept to emply.

Re:

Good to know, lion. I didn't think there would be too many people who wouldn't. Putting a smile on someone else's face can never be too rewarding!

I certainly can relate

Re: Jimmy

Nit-picking are we, Naut? Would it have made more sense if it read a "seemingly invincible object?"  Yeah, I know. Almost every lengthy quote seems to have that one piece of contradiction contained within it. But I believe the overall message remained intact . . .

Re:

I believe, sam, that just about everyone knew where I was coming from, and why I posted this particular quote. Like I said, it seemed very apropos in light of recent events. And yeah, my Rangers had some game Friday night! But each time they have a six or eight-goal outburst like that, regardless of who they're playing, I always find myself asking "Why can't they do that every game?" Now watch! The next game they'll probably get shut out! Wait, what am I saying? Unjinx! Unjinx!

Re:

Hopefully that's true, lustor. That's why I gave the analogy of the ant hill. Once it's toppled over, the ants don't just sit around feeling sorry for themselves or pointing fingers! They get up, dust themselves off, and do what they know they have to do! And we have to, too . . .

Re:

I thought as much, FSI, especially in the wake of recent events! If too many people become overly selfish and uncaring, it might be game over for us all . . .

Re:

We do indeed, adnohr. These actions have been on display over and over again throughout the years, and we'll really be in trouble as a nation and a people if they ever cease. I can only assume that the same holds true in Canada. If people begin to turn their backs on each other, we all might as well check out now . . .

Re: JimmyA

Well, Sir Wiley, it is certainly within your rights to disagree, but the quote didn't really say anything about the "greatest" strength, which I agree love surely is. It was merely referring to a "true" strength, combining a strong body with a compassionate heart, which was clearly on display during the aftermath of the Boston bombings. That was all I wanted to relay. And I will reveal who Master Po was at a later date ( I'm not quite done with using some of his quotes! )

The only problem is this: if you can shatter it, the object wasn't invincible...

Yes, I believe that everyone can relate to it as well.

Humans are resilient, and most of us do rally together when the going gets rough.

An explanation of who Master Po is. Therefore, I disagree with old Po because love is our greatest strength. Have a great weekend my friend.
