I think I would rather have buttercups than dandilions all over the lawn! I have a mess on my hands at my rental right now! I plan to tackle it next week and try to spruce the lawn the best I can because I do not want to invest money if I can avoid it! I might get back into poetry once I get settled and my son's wedding is over! Right now there is too much going on to think about poetry! sam

Re: Buttercups? I've got volunteer violets popping up. Some of them

I love violets Pat I noticed a few white ones in my grassy patch today the mower goes right over them as I never cut lower than three inches I don't like bald headed lawns.

Buttercups? I've got volunteer violets popping up. Some of them

even sprout in the borders where they're supposed to be. Much nicer than snow. :)

I expect so Broth, I am trying to come of off the steriods and have been trying to keep up with the lads. I do miss Helen's little perky quips. So you must feel lost, but time soon goes. Over the top Wiley.

Oh dear Adnohr I don't know if you require a reply, but have a freebie. Just sign  once if you read replies. Ok but some poems are regurgitated yuk!

Re: JS

Well I did wonder if folk were a bit tired of poems. I wonder myself sometimes what kind of mood I am in that dictates fantasy in preference to hard facts. I will post a photo of the cage tonight I just feel too tired to cultivate it at the present. If I were you I would do a small patch at a time and see how it goes.

Re:

A kind  of malaise has settled FS you must do something dramatic to break this spell of inertia.

You should consider yourself fortunate that you have buttercups on your lawn - my lawn doesn't even look like a lawn yet, and this is mid-April! It's ridiculous what's happened to our spring! And Archie had 25 pots of blackberry jam left? My favorite jam? He can send them over any time he wants to...

well, you could say your poems inspire people to try there hand at it.  but we tend to do the things we are good at and peter out if we are not so good.  besides we all look forward to your poems, your daily activities and i enjoyed reading about your boyhood memories.

you are greatly missed when you do not post.

so glad to hear the cage is done, and hopefully will keep out all slugs.  sounds like you are constantly busy, wich is good, also dont be so quick to mow, common is also good.

Well perhaps you won't mind my comment, I do hope you can write poetry again, and consider that your fiends in here Bro, especially me, feel an uplifting connection to your friendship.
