if i tune into local news, i get pensacola news, but i live in a little town 30 miles away and they do not broadcast our news, mostly who got killed on the highway. so i go to a site with all the news from the north end of the county.

FSI...
"More to come at the 5o'clock hour" (if its 4p.m. news)...They just love to bait the audience to come back next hour for "supposedly" more info...Its an old trick that's been around forever it seems..

News on the television I find to be superficial. It is laughable when they tell you to stay tuned for some important story, and then when they get to the story, the extra information is only slightly more than the promotional plugs for it. It is a mind teaser. If one is really interested, there is always the option of going online.

%For myself often it’s the other way around, going to the Internet after, hearing the news. Also the news station that I tune in to depends whether I want or have time for details and features or the complete news in twenty minutes. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

Ha! I miss all that, cause I only watch hockey games (and yes - then I stay tuned to see the end of the game) but otherwise everything is reading.

Well I hate it when one has to sweat through an advert before one is shown the nitty-gritty on the computer screen. I don't think the programme I listened to occasionally on the radio has any adverts.

I don't stick to any one station, I silence the TV at commercial time.

Unfortunately that will never happen. They want you to "stay tuned" to see if they can get you to remain with that particular channel and sit through all of their ridiculous commercials, which are technically their sponsers! Me, I just change the channel ( I loathe commercials! ) I'll get that missing piece of information eventually . . .
