I worried about flooding here the last couple of days as I do every year at this time. I've always sworn I would get a small back up generator to give us some peace should the power go out

Oh dear Pat, I have been in flooded houses and it feels very depressing. At least hopefully you can do something about it, it looks like we shall have to put up with this kind of changeable weather in the future. We have forecast for a frost tonight isn't that funny. Fortunately the fruit blossom has not appeared, so the frost may not do much harm.

Yep! That reversal of your meteorological fortunes will descend upon us as well - long experience tells me that whatever hits you will hit us a bit later, only more so, LOL...And I sure hope you get that water problem fixed! It's one thing I have never been saddled with, but I know others who have, and it can be very annoying, to say the least...

I like Ciel's idea!! It's a bummer having to deal with that kind of thing, or that kind of weather. At least here I could cheer myself up by remembering the rain removes the rest of the dirty snow still thick in our mountains. Looking forward to reading what you have posted during my absence.

What a nuisance, to have to wear your rubber boots around the house...
At least, if you add a little carpet shampoo, you could get an incredibly clean carpet out of this.

Unfortunately, I think those particular plot points are ridiculously common and terribly overused! I know people like to see good triumph over evil, and see the "hero" overcome adversity, but it gets a little redundant after a while . . .
