I would like to see the assault weapons gone for good! Who knows why the stores don't go after the crooks! All it does is raise the prices and the honest ones have to pay the price for their dishonesty! sam

I'm so tired of guns and shootings. It is an everyday occurrence here.

Re: Lustor
but its the assualt weapons they are trying to ban, who in this world need such kinds of weapons to protect themselves that is stupid. I dont need to read about the crime rates to know its the assualt weapons that is the issue here not guns.
And ask those from Newtown incident how they feel and Gabby Gifford

I think it is a little out there to label everybody who does not see a thing as you do as stupid. You obviously have not studied in depth the stats on thos cities and countries with a "no gun" law to see the crime rates and total murder of millions by their own governments after they enforced gun control.

It does surprise me too how much opposition there is to banning assault weapons...Oh yes, the theft does keep grocery store prices higher.

ooppps i forgot the other part of the post, where you witnessed someone stealing from the store. it is difficult to witness, and more upsetting when noone seems to care after you took the time to report it. it happens everywhere, i witnessed it at an estate sale, but by the time i found someone to complain to, they were gone too, so i know how you felt.

if you ck satistics in countries where there are few guns, there are fewer to no deaths by guns. if you are not a sportsman then why would you want a gun? and hunters do not use automatic or semiautomatic guns. the cost and the ease of attaining these guns should be considered a way of reducing the numbers. or i heard someone say charge 500 dollars a bullet. i think 50 a bullet would be enough to stop alot of the killing.

First subject . . . I agree. Many people feel their 2nd Amendment rights are being squashed, but in reality, the government is just trying to cut down on the assault weapons and ammo that nobody needs for home defense! Unfortunately, this particular debate is going to rage on for a loooong time . . .
Second subject . . . whether or not the person was caught in the act is immaterial. If such an act is brought to the attention of a store worker, they should make every effort to then inform management. They in turn can then check their surviellance cameras and make an effort to apprehend the perpetrator. And you're right . . . this is one of the main reasons we all have to pay more for our groceries!
