I have left my keys in my door a couple of times in this place. I guess the good Lord was taking care of me.

we all have stories of where we have left our keys,
when and where i grew up we didnt lock doors, of course we had next to nothing to take.
and i can remember when i moved back here in 1992, my front door did not have a lock on it. and now i have to lock up at night because my husband has gone to bed with the door standing wide open, his excuse is if they want to get in a locked door will not stop them, well at least i have 2 large dogs and they hear everything.

Many moons ago, I had a roommate leave his keys in the front door of our condo that I discovered the next morning! We were very fortunate no one walked in and helped themselves to all our possessions! But the thing that pissed me off the most was that the bulk of those possessions were mine! He really had nothing to lose! I'll bet you'll never make that mistake again . . .

I myself have not done the keys in the front door but one time left my keys outside at an area we use to reset our automatic touch frees. I also one time left car wash keys on top of a vacuum. Both instances I was very fortunate.
