if she was to move out she would have to pay those bills but at the same time if she moves out and leaves me with a empty house I will be stuck with the lot payments so its a lose lose situation

Don't forget that if you don't look out for yourself and your well being, it will fall back on your children anyway and they would have to take care of themselves and take care of mom. So you are doing them a favor by looking out for your own interests.

I am sorry my first comment was all about your daughter. No I do not think you are in the least selfish. I think they should have been paying their way since they grew up. You just have to lay the law down to them. It is your right to take care of yourself, not grown children.

Dear one I think perhaps all women have a sense of loss when anything takes a baby away. This was very early but she lost it. It was a real baby and she feels that. She has no reason to be guilty since this was a pregnancy that could not go further. But she still feels a loss I am sure. She will come around.

i think i understand where you are coming from,
it is fustrating to think that you raised them all by yourself and now that you need a little help, you have to wonder if they can help you.
we have to be able to take care of ourselves before we try to take care of another.

have her check into WIC and then sign up at some food pantries....some churches and organizations will pay one big utility bill once a year....

Of course it makes sense. You simply cannot afford to live on your own, and your children should understand that. One way or another, I hope they'll be there for you . . .

being selfish and I understand now what you mean. She and hubby really should think about all the aspects of their actions before they make decisions. They have been so lucky always to have you supporting them. Could they move the home to a site where Children are allowed i wonder? Of course it would surely be alright while a baby was tiny.

What you wrote and what you have written here in this entry makes sense to me. There is definitely a financial component that comes into play when one has children...
