I love the daily show too, nearly every issue but sometimes he grates.

My cable provider doesn't carry Jon Stewrt's show, so I don't get it. But TV-land is a desert with very few oases anyhow, and CNN represents a particularly arid patch...

CNN has really lost the plot for me along with the ridiculous

comments and statements of Fox....I watch 5 minutes of news on Canada news channels then CNN then switch out if Wiley isn't switching off. The media seems to have turned World events into Disney World...nothing seems real anymore. a lonely. self centered desensitized world.

you have lost me Pat, I could comment on tinnitus it is driving my Sister crazy.

I have had it for years and just ignore it now ,I also try to wear ear protectors when any noise is apparent. Too late I expect.

Re: Agreed, regarding CNN and it's brand of 'bimbo journalism'

Ciel, I had not seen his closing speech. Thanks for the link. It was amazing!

Agreed, regarding CNN and it's brand of 'bimbo journalism'

and all the news shows that constantly tout the station itself...

Agreed, also, about Jon Stewart.  Did you hear his closing speech at the Rally for the Return of Sanity and/or Fear?

I also am a big fan of Jon Stewart and The Daily Show, and I saw that segment about CNN too! Regardless of the humor involved, there's sadness to it too, in that CNN still acts as though they are a credible news agency, when they've become nothing more than a joke within a joke! Whatever happened to the Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite, Roger Grimsby, in-your-face, straight-up news casting? Now it's all sensationalism, glits and glamour, Hollywood  "let's get ratings" nonesense! Needless to say, I never, ever tune in to CNN! What's the point . . . ?
