Re: TAPS,

I suppose you know you're welcome anytime--and it's only a state and a half away.  We'll take a little drive through Garden of the Gods... have tea on the deck...

The things that you say you "delight in" sound wonderful to me.  I would love to find a cozy corner by a sunny window and thumb through those books and find interesting things to read about.

I'll take your share, Ciel! It does sound like you've arrived 'home'. Books are a must in my house too, and there are always one or two lying around in each room, not counting those piled in my bookcase. Kitty will get used to the new place - she's probably wondering out loud why she has been moved.

Re: Naut

Ain't gonna happen.  I would have to eat the vile stuff to even try to acclimate to it, and I don't see the point in going through that.  Julia Child didn't like it either, nor arugula. TAPS likes it, you can give her my share.

I like your library! And maybe Violetta is just singing, you know - like her namesake from La Traviata, LOL.

And I had to laugh about your anti-cilantro gene! It reminds me of the time, when I was a kid, I hated raspberries, but I outgrew that and now I love them! I'm sure you'll outgrow your aversion to cilantro as well...

Re: BC-A,

All the time... and this is, I hope, just the start.  I have plans...

Re: Pat,

She came into my life just after I'd seen SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE.

Re: JimmyA,

I think you are exactly right: she has no one to scowl at and feel superior to.

Violetta. What a great name for a cat, regal and yet fun.

You're right, bookshelves and assorted volumes do make a room feel right.

Those books do sound interesting. Damn I wish I could find more time to read! And even though Violetta didn't get along with the other cats, I guess she probably still needs an antagonist or two to get her through the day!
