As Naut commented, you conveyed the unease of the event very well. I felt the relief when Martha showed up. Lotteries? Have been waiting to win one for years.

That lottery ticket seems to be the answer to solving everything for you luv. I dream like that to solve all my problems. I won Kabu in my lottery.

I wonder if you could run a competition between the groups and perhaps I

could be the judge. I would be totally unbiased...even if you worked out a password with me, I would be totally not letting it affect my judging....

Dueling writers' groups!

That could produce some interesting results!

I haven't gone to "groups" for a long time.  You make me miss them.  I always thought it was fun sitting at the table and taking notes, or doodling and thinking, and maybe throwing in a comment now and then.

Re:Naut: - finanier in a stove-pipe hat....

I noticed they had a sale on those tall red & white stove-pipe hats at the bookstore last night - perfect for "Cat in the Hat" trick or treat easter costumes. If I see a "slightly stooped and with graying temples" gentleman in one of those, I'll be sure to say hello.

You convey the awkwardness of that scene very well! But a lottery ticket? I tried that – doesn’t seem to work. Maybe you should try a financier, slightly stooped and with graying temples, a stove-pipe hat and a cigar...Okay, forget the hat...
