Re: Adnohr,

Both means of getting around have distinct advantages!

Re: Kabu,

You're the one, pushed the numbers up in my flickr stats!

Thanks for that, and for liking my hats!  I have just started on the 'spring' hats, though I haven't got pics of them yet.

Maybe I should add some fascinating feathers!

After reading this yesterday, I spent time looking at the pics and forgot to come back.  For some reason that happens to me often on your site.

I enjoy driving long distances...certainly more than air travel! Have a safe one - hope the weather is perfect! Great pictures too.

LOL...I have just spent ages looking at those pictures of yours.

I love your hats too by the way!!

Re: Pat,

I have not seen the Burma Shave signs in years, but entering Wyoming, it was like suddenly getting hit in the head with billboards!  No little signs, just billboards. Idaho is like that, too. Not until you get miles beyond anything that counts as a major city there, do you get the scenery back.

And thanks, we are also hoping for smooth and quick!

That's quite a route to drive in months with snow on the roads...

It will be good to have company through the wide open stretches. I've driven that same route - wonder if they still have the Burma Shave and Stinker Station signs along the road. Used to see them tacked to wooden fence posts from which barbed wire was strung, the cute little skunk advertising cut-rate gas at the "stinker" stations, and of course the versified Burma Shave couplets. Hope it is a smooth trip.
