I've never heard of that before, a dog being "auctioned off" between two people! I really thought that your son was actually going to get that dog! However, I do understand your hesitancy of driving that far for a dog that you may not get . . .

A dog is a really big responsibility, a loving family member, and can be a big expense. But, so much enjoyment goes along with the rest.
