It's horrible what drugs can do to a person, it steals their life out from under them! So sad! sam

I have been through both those systems, and the one where you sit lined up side by side with other visitors, and talk to the other side of the thick glass through a phone, trying to hear the words with the noise surrounding you. Not pleasant. What is pleasant is the way children react with someone they love - how much hope it gives the detainee with such proof that yes, people do care. Your statement that your daughter's choices 'took you ALL down this road' is so true. Hopefully the treatment will change her choices, and you will all rejoice with her. This was very well written post; you describe the place, the feelings, exactly.

There are people who hit the bottom and do a complete turn-around.
They re-assess their lives and values, and find it in them to change. With your encouragement, and her kids also loving her, and being drug-free, she has a great chance of that!

i continue to pray for you all and feel so grateful for the way everything
is progressing with your daughter and the little ones.
November is still many months away and that gives daughter much more time to solidify her sobriety and clear herself of the drug issues.
