You're writing sure makes me think. Must be my age or something, nowdays I have to keep searching back to find a character I missed or don't understand in every book I read these days. Truth is I have had to stop commenting back to folks because it takes me hours to read people now let alone commenting.

LOL! Things are getting 'knotted'...and I shudder at the possibilities for getting them untied or just cut - Alexander used a sword, today it's more often a gun...

I already dilike the dude. Kabu is right - you bring characters to life, so vivid that one actually wants to yell an encouraging 'hoorah!' or to slap the brat's face.

Re: JimmyA - about characters based on a live person....

Oh, yes, mine too. The think I like about writing is that I can be "black and white" and certain about the guy in a story, whereas I tend to treat real people with a bit more kindness and tolerance. We all have our quirks. :)

Aah, the beauty of writing fiction! Anyone, anything, any setting, any possibility . . . it's all endless! Many of my fictional characters enjoy the added bonus of being based on a live person, so there's never a need to fake sincerity or conceitedness . . .

great read our Pat....you have this wonderful ability to bring a character

alive with a few words....and you have changed my perspective and I am grateful. I always thought it would be nice to be one of those perfect women...now I am so glad to be me for there is nothing phony here....what you see is what you get.

 on Oh talented one.
