I can't fathom not smelling after not taking a bath for a year. That's something else. I sympathize for the person wanting a divorce from the other one. Their diet or chemistry must be different. This will puzzle me for years !!! I think she fibbed a little, or at the very least, exaggerated.

Lawns Naut. Oh dear I can't find any sentiment to express over that green crew cut.
Although I must admit a nice striped lawn has something going towards perfection.

Re: That digging up the garden over winter... Mom used to do that.
Poor Mum, she should not have had to work so hard. I remember my Mum we had a big stone pot filled with eggs preservbed with waterglass I think it was called. The eggs
looked weird but they kept OK. Jam plums and wasps she made jam and the wasps just flew around . One did not think much of it until one found a wasp cooked, peeping through the jamjar.

REFS
FS one has to non-bathe for at least ten years for the body to adjust to the barbarous practise of daily bathing. The other more frequent than one would think.

Re: Jeansaw
I suppose a patch of potatoes would work the ground . A trench enriched for stick beans.
If you could afford it a small rotavator would do at a pinch. I believe you were in the trade once . You should know a trick or two.

Yes I am a good bragger Wiley, I don't know if a big fat woman bending about would be good for Arthur's metabolism.

Hey Kabu scrubs washes and shines ? I would lose all my natural immunity . It is not that bad. A gipsy once told me that I kept it very clean.

The dust collects rapidly in the desert, too! If she wants to clean I would let her and just find something else to do! The poem was cool and the ending probably as it should have been! You mentioned a small greenhouse and as I have been contemplating my soon to be new backyard I think that is probably what I will end up having! I might have to choose between my horseshoe pit and the greenhouse! A huge dilemma for me though! sam

I like that poem of yours...worshiping from afar, the charms of fair maiden
and I agree with Wiley. Archies wife as house keeper would help both them and you...a win win experience. Why you could sit in a garden chair while madam A. scrubs and dusts washes and shines....and Mister A. slaves at digging and weeding, moving and carrying around heavy stuff.

Better snow there than here Bro, we've had quite enough.
I change out of my shoes in the mud room and leave my slippers there to put back on. I would have thought a housekeeper would be nice and maybe he's hurtin' about lack of money. I think your ' true in principle' post turned out humourous anyway. LOL Enjoyed that poem too and your ability to keep her love in your heart,

yes, cct i am late in tilling the garden, and i am afraid this year might be spent just getting the area ready , as i am still digging up pipes so that i can till. i want to eventually get all the ground cover up also. but if i have time to plant i will, as i might be able to get a few vegetables.

That digging up the garden over winter... Mom used to do that.
I don't know if she ever got a roto-tiller - at least the power version - but she used to complain about her back killing her a lot. I'm ashamed to say I could never have kept up with her at the weeding and harvesting - we used to do some canning and pickling.
