Re: FormerStudentIntern
Believe it or not, I actually remember Officer Joe Bolton's show and Moe's visit! Small world . . .

{The shorts used to be hosted on a half hour local show in New York. He dressed like a police officer. Every day he made his entrance, waving his nightstick (club). In different seasons a cartoon like Krazy Kat short preceded the Stooges. Their shorts would fill the half hour with sponsors with a children market. In example, he had a small Good Humor ice cream truck. But he would say that the Stooges were athletic and the children shouldn’t try their stunts. On one precious show Moe Howard (who was alive then) visited the show. The host Officer Joe Bolton asked him about the criticism that the shorts caused children to do violence. Moe said: Not normal children. And yes, the Screen Gems division of Columbia Pictures in their period was their short picture arm. In the 50s and 60s it was the television series division. So enjoy. They were adult and the men’s cable shannel picked up the Stooges. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

And don't forget, in "Three Little Pigskins," you watched them play football as well! By the way, did you catch that their father in the bed who told them they were of royal blood was Walter Brennan?
