Reading this reminds me of my Cousin Vince. When he retired, his mother in his words expected him to become her chauffeur. He said that he was able to get through to her.

I guess what comes around goes around! I too like to schedule my day a certain way, and stick to that schedule as closely as possible. Sometimes it just makes things easier. Some people just don't understand that . . .

When I was about your daughter's age, and my mother was about your age, no matter when I got there I had to wait for her. She wouldn't even start getting ready until I got there. Never. It was so frustrating.

I have a sister like that. She thinks the world revolves around her and her time schedule. I got to the point that I would tell her 1 to 2 hours ahead of the actual time she should be there. That works much better.
