I love thinking about you becoming a great-grandma.  But, it mystifies me as you are not near old enough for that.  How did you work it?

Fred is wise - and I bellieve his little girlfriend is relieved that she's

staying here too. I expect I'll be seeing my friend for short stays more often than she has planned!

It's a big move, isn't it Justi?

What's more, most of the money she is making from the house sale is being used to buy a house in her daughter's name - and she'll be moving in there with her daughter's family. I advised her to at least have her name on the house too, but she worries that her daughter will see that as a lack of trust....

Babies are born to be spoiled, especially by great-grannies, CCT!

I'm hoping for my friend that things will turn out ok. Have to admit I have my doubts.

It's nice knowing they are downstairs, bro.

Even if I don't see them all that often. I expect that will change when the little dude or dudette shows  up.

I was happy when Fred told me he was staying.

A new baby!! Just think!! Can't wait!

It was the first piece of furniture she ever bought by and for herself.

She is very attached to it. I told her she could have it back whenever she wants.

When I have the cabinet all set up I'll put up a picture, Pat_B.

That darned Morpheus has his timing all wrong...like showing up during a hockey game..

It's also a separation, Naut. SO many changes all at once.

She's very strong in character and has come through much. I'll have to write her story one day.

I just hope she's not making a mistake, FSI.

Only time will tell.

With Fred having to be away I must say I am glad they will be staying with you, too! And I think you will be having a grand time with your friend staying! sam

I am so happy your grandson's little family will stay near you to enjoy that little baby. I am sorry about your friend. I don't know what I would do if I had to give up my home and move in with anyone. Sad!

Well only my view Adnohr but I would hang on to my independence to the bitter end.

Downsize if one liked .but no way move in with relatives. Keep your collateral and independance. Seen to many unhappy people when stress arises. Now on a happier note of course you will love to cuddle that new little baby, but don't spoil the little sweetie.

i dread the thought of ever moving again. I have moved too many times

in my life and cannot stand the thought of packing up my life again.

Fred is staying put, and that makes me smile back across them mountains back at you girl friend.

Yes, moving can be somewhat tramatic for anyone. That was very nice of you to place the china cabinet where you did. My wife is "attached" to a lot of her furniture, and would appreciate it being treated as you have done. To some people it's just some wood and nails. To others, it's practically a member of the family . . .

I hope the change is good for her, and I know the corner cabinet

will have a good home. New babies always bring changes - pun intended. You think Morpheus avoids you now, wait'll baby comes home. But this is a good thing, and maybe this one will enjoy several nice long naps every night. :)

I sure hope the old lady does not regret the move from a state of sometimes troublesome independence to one of a troubled dependence...

That is a major change to undergo. I wonder how I would have handled such a change...I remember my paternal grandmother refusing to move in with my Dad.
