Amazing when one thinks of the little fishing boats that went out from the villages and the trauma the wives suffered waiting for the return. It must have been hairy all the same out there alone. I don't suppose one carries a spare rudder or a means to fix one.

Unfortunate you sailors never brought tools like a battery drill, brass bolts & nuts, and some hard wood or flat pre-cut steel, you could have made a repair.
