no bird feeders for me...i have enough to deal with from the squirrels and rabbits...

Goodness Pat I had the same problem well not so much as you but the finches kept throwing half of the seeds down so I simply found a tray and stood it on a support about 3 foot from the ground underneath the feeder, it catches the seeds and a Cat cannot grab the birds.

Lol you and we are all on the same page. We poured the seed on the ground AND filled the suet feeders and the turkeys came back.

LOL! And talking about bird feeders - I thought I had found one that is safe from squirrels. It is, but it's a boon for chipmunks...

LOL...I agree with the way you describe them...little buggars indeed!!
and yes they will clean it all up and then demand more from you. One of our squirrels here ...Billy Bossy Boy...is so fat it almost has to waddle ...
