Nothing like having a wonderful view or two like that from any window! I know new places are difficult to get used to . . . give it time! So far it seems as though you're acclimating nicely!

Re: CCT,
It is compensation, for sure, for waking up before dawn, for no other good reason. Today, after 6 AM, so that's progress from waking up says in a row, now, at 5 or even earlier!
Now I want to find a lovely big Cape primrose like those you show us in photos, to put on this very clever plant stand I found at an estate sale down the road. There will be a photo of that, soon, too.

Re: Naut,
And have I ever told you about the time I volunteered to act as a road-block for a road rally in Capitol Forest, on the last day of elk-hunting season? Little ol' me, solitary on a back-woods road telling big guys with guns, "Sorry, you can't go down this road right now." It was the year after Richard Dean Anderson was invited to drive the pace-car, flipped it, and ended up spending time in local Oly hospital with a broken shoulder.

Re: Pat,
You and I have shared many landscapes of the Pacific Northwest--I'm glad to be able to share this mountain with you, too.

Pressed the wrong button there the first time, LOL. Probably because I am so excited to hear that you have Pike's Peak looking into your window - the Pike's Peak, the famous one of Pike's Peak International Hill Climb fame - oh, you didn't know that I'm a bit of a car nut, and love to watch racing? Well, I am and do...
