He's a plumber/HVAC guy - but the main things he hauls had been his kids - the old Ford Pickup he'd had for 15 years, and he hauls ladders, building materials, etc...

Just out of curiosity, does he plan to "haul" anything, or did he just want a big truck?

I'd love one of those! Of course, If I got one I'd also need Porsche for my daily transportation, and I can't afford that! So I have compromised and drive a 4-door sedan...

Oh boy - envious here. I love that truck model!! It is quite a jump to get into it though. I hope the hip is going to be okay? (My sons tell me the same thing all the time. They have learned to duck quickly....
