Re: Adnohr

Thank you Adnohr, fortunately we all get more forgetful as we mature, I can't remember some things that I am ashamed off.

Welcome back, CCT

Was wondering where you had got to! I can sympathize with Archie having to adjust to his new and forced budget. Really enjoyed the poem, by the way - and I can't remember having read it before.

Re: SAm

Hello Sam, I was helping all your problems would have been resolved by now, but evidently the good Lord wishes to test you a little more. House prices are rising over here, well very slightly, but annoyingly for first-time buyers it keeps making it more difficult. A friend of ours moved into a house after about a year of searching, his wife could not sleep as the light shone through her window. The dutiful husband fixed a blackout curtain, she says she still cannot sleep and wants to move.

Re:FS

Thank you FS. It does not feel like I have been away, but I have not looked at blogit for over a week now, sometimes a little rest is beneficial at my age.

Re: Rumour

Hi Rumour drains are funny critters, one would think nothing was more simple just a pipe to take the rubbish away, but no one must beware of the drain devil a very fatty insiduous beast.

Re: Naut

No NAUT I noticed in the weekend paper a restaurant was praised for its culinary expertise the meal cost £70. I don't think Archie will be going there. I have the $ sign on my keyboard. There again I only buy cheap ones because I keep knocking the lettering off as I thump the keys. Not today though as I am using my microphone which is a lot quicker and has the advantage of spelling correctly.

Re Kabu

Thank you dearie I am now a reformed character I only wish I had some nice flowers to post but everything comes to he who waits as you know. Somehow he does not taste the same these days, although I have just found a brand called Yorkshire tea and they do quite a few varieties, we mostly drink decaffeinated stuff these days , but it hasn't got much kick, I suppose the milk is not like it used to be either.

Re: Pat

Hello Pat, I was beginning to get a little bit blog sickness like homesickness. Before that Arthur and I had terrible stomach aches, the Queen has succumbed you may have noticed. If she gets it there cannot be an easy cure. Anyway we are fit again, well fit to stagger on.

Sorry about poor Archie - I seem to remember a time when you could live on 70 Pounds (haven't got the pounds sign on my keyboard) for a year, although not from personal experience, LOL! And the poem is a delight...

CCT, ah yes...there's nothing like a clogged kitchen drain...

We had one not too long ago, and it gurgled, too...we had to get professional help to replace a part...

good to see you back....

Good to see you CC! And it's good that you have been busy! We were worried about you! Sorry about the trouble, but hopefully he can get it resolved so that he has a higher income! And, I relish the thought that I will be able to read your poems again with others, too! And the one you posted today was so realistic to me! KUDOS! sam
